Pre-Class Short Course Batch III: Getting Closer to CAMPUHAN College and Self

This year, the short course class at CAMPUHAN College have entered its third batch. Before the teaching and learning process begins, the new enrollees participated in pre-class activities. So, what exactly is is pre-class?

Pre-class is an activity provided for new course students to familiarize themselves with the program. Through this activity, students not only learn about the course structure but also gives students the opportunity to explore themselves and realize the positive qualities that can help them take action to improve their English language skills.

The activity began with a brief introduction to the foundation and its programs. This was followed by sharing the course timeline and the rules that need to be considered during the course activities at CAMPUHAN College.

How can students recognize themselves and realize their positive qualities? They are given three reflective questions to ponder personally, especially regarding their English language abilities. From the results of students' reflections, most of them said that they want to raise their self-confidence and be consistent, especially to overcome the challenges they feel are hindering their learning process so far so that in the future they can improve their English skills.

This engaging pre-class experience spans two days—July 18th and 19th, 2024. The enthusiasm among students is palpable; as can be seen from the number of students who came, out of the 126 invited students, 102 eagerly attended.

The pre-class process was not only facilitated by the CAMPUHAN College department; there was also a team from the Capung Melajah department who shared about the Yowana Kreatif scholarship program.
